Mission and Objectives

Mission 

The Romania-Qatar Business Council (RQBC) is dedicated to expand the vast potential for increased trade and investment in Romania and Qatar, and to create new business partnerships for its members. 

Our mission is to foster, facilitate and strengthen commercial, trade, investment and cultural relations between Romania and Qatar through transnational networking, proactive services and shared resources.

RQBC interconnects the Romanian and Qatar businesses and by leveraging our knowledge of the Qatar market and its future needs, we convert such core values into business projects for all of its members, Qatar, and the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), and as part of the Qatar National Vision 2030, thereby ushering economic and social development in the direction of the following pillars:

• Human Development
• Social Development

Objectives

The RQBC is a non-profit association of business people representing Romanian and Qatari companies, whose objectives include:

• To support the business activity of member companies, as well as newcomer Romanian companies to Qatar. 
• To promote Romanian and Qatari commercial and business interests in Qatar, and encourage economic and commercial activities, investments and other initiatives between Romania and Qatar. 
• To offer its members a platform to network and exchange information and experiences, and to interact with the community at large in Qatar by means of meetings, seminars, conferences, etc. 
• To encourage mutual awareness, exchange of information and cultural cooperation between the Qatar and Romanian communities.
• To contribute to the mutual growth and development of commerce, technology, sport and cultural relationships between Romania and Qatar. 
• To promote business, social and cultural events, to highlight and reinforce the positive aspects and business opportunities of Romania in Qatar. In general, any other legitimate activity related to the promotion of business and/or cultural ties between Qatar and Romania.
• To materialize economic development envisaged as a stimulating business climate capable of attracting foreign funds and advanced technology, and encouraging national investments.
• To provide a forum for the exchange of information on economic, social and other issues of interest to Romanian companies doing or planning to do business in Qatar, or Qatari companies that aim of doing business in Romania.
• The Council also aims to provide lobby and exchange of information on mutually interesting topics, sponsor events and programs which facilitate insight about Qatar and its international and business environment.
